This Lent, I invite you to meditate on stories from the Gospel of John. I’ve selected forty verses for daily devotion, with forty volunteers sharing their personal reflections. We’re not professional writers, but these heartfelt testimonies reveal the Holy Spirit at work among us.

Take a moment to explore these stories from Ward’s Chapel and be inspired by the faith of those who love God deeply. These testimonies are real!

This book is part of the Bible Study Series. Bible 101: Four Gospels is a six-week study guide exploring the Gospels’ historical, cultural, and social contexts. It delves into why there are four similar accounts and how they shape our understanding today.

Rather than focusing solely on typology, the author seeks deeper insights to help the modern church reorient its direction.

Bible 101: Acts explores the mission and evangelism of the early church after Jesus’ resurrection. Empowered by the Holy Spirit, the first believers laid the foundation for global missions, even in difficult times.

This six-week study covers key questions: Who were the first missionaries? How did the early church grow? How should we respond to today’s challenges? Topics include the Holy Spirit’s role, early church struggles, and Paul’s mission journeys.

Our Lenten Devotional helps us truly know one another. While editing, I heard stories of pain and renewed faith.

After one service, a member shared her story. I said, “I didn’t know you went through that. I’m so sorry.” She replied, “Yes, but it brought my faith back!”

These testimonies reveal both struggles and living faith. As we create this devotional for the second time with two congregations, we are grateful for this journey together. As one church family, we will continue to love and support each other in the Lord.

How do we understand worship in a multicultural context? What essential factors should we consider when establishing a new church in this setting?

This book serves as a theological guide to understanding multicultural congregations. It also provides key insights for church planters, offering practical knowledge to help build and nurture a thriving multicultural faith community.
